Budding musicians are being encouraged to make sweet music for a parliamentary competition, Rock the House.
Fiona O’Donnell MP visited the Bridge Centre in Haddington to chat to members of its Music Project, among 38 community groups using the facility.
Musicians enter original material to their MP, who nominates one entrant per competition category.
A panel of industry executives choose the finalists and winners, who will have their pieces played at Westminster and win an array of prizes, including equipment, festival slots, recording sessions, radio appearances and more.
Ms O’Donnell said: “I hope that some local bands and solo artists will enter and would love to see one make it to the final this year.”
