East Lothian will host a series of events next month to celebrate Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual and Transgender (LGBT) history.

The season launches in Musselburgh at the Brunton on February 6 with a free talk given by the Kaleidoscope Trust, a UK-based charity working to uphold the human rights of LGBT people internationally.

The talk, entitled “Speaking Out: LGBT across the Commonwealth”, will look at the experiences of LGBT people across the Commonwealth.

The Loud and Proud Choir will be performing a selection of songs from Scotland, New Zealand and South Africa and there will be music from around the Commonwealth, together with free refreshments.
