Thirteen-year-old Preston Lodge pupil Laura Moos celebrated a fine win in her first national badminton singles title when she won the U-14 Scottish Schools Age Group Singles held last weekend at Ravenscraig Sports Centre.

In the final, Laura beat Eyemouth High school pupil Lizzy Edmondson comfortably in two sets 21/11 21/16 to lift the title, with George Heriot’s pupil Sarah Brogan (Longniddry) finishing in third place.
