Tranent played their first match for four weeks when the entertained Falkirk in the McBookies.com south division last Saturday.
Tranent gaffer Chris McGinn made a few changes with two trialists in his starting 16.
The first half was a full of chance as Falkirk took a five minute lead after Stuart McFarlane set up Christopher Taylor for the opener.
Tranent did get back into the match when Michael fairnie set up Robert Brantley who blasted a great 20 yard shot past David hardie.
After 34 minutes Jason Darling tried a speculative 35 yard free-kick but Hardie had the shot covered.
It ended 1-1 at the break and Falkirk to their credit came out in the second half and deserved the goal to take a 2-1 lead after 48 minutes.
Martin Ure played in a pass to strike partner Alistair Griffin who finished off the chance.
Fifty-seven minutes passed and Tranent equalised for a second time from a Robert Branley corner that Dale Robertson headed home well.
Falkirk took a 3-2 after 61 minutes from a free header by Griffin who converted a Watson cross.
With three minutes left Tranent got a great third goal as captain Alan Horne ran from defence and played a one-two before finishing well past Hardie to end the scoring.
