The RBS Six Nations Trophy Tour reaches Musselburgh.

THE RBS 6 Nations 2012 Trophy Tour made its second stop at Musselburgh RFC last Thursday when more than 150 mini, midi, colts and senior club members came along to meet Scottish rugby international players, Jim Hamilton and Max Evans.

The RBS Trophy Tour aims to reward rugby clubs which have been performing well in their respective leagues as well as recognise the work they do in their local communities and to support the game at club level.

Musselburgh RFC is thriving and has a mini/midi and colts section of more than 200 players. The U-16 team won the Edinburgh & District League this season and nine of the players are in the Edinburgh squad and two are in the Scotland U-16 squad. The team are the current holders of the Edinburgh District U-15 Cup and are playing in the National Cup. The Colts finished second in their league this season and have qualified for the National Cup. Meanwhile, the Musselburgh 1st XV has been top of the RBS National League 1 for the majority of this season.
