Musselburgh go out of Scottish Cup

All four East Lothian junior football clubs are determined to finish the month of January on a winning note following mixed fortunes during the first month of the year.
Musselburgh Athletic must pick themselves up from their Scottish Cup fourth round exit last Saturday at the hands of holders Auchinleck Talbot and resume on Saturday with a tough East Region Super League trip away to a lively Kelty Hearts who reached next Tuesday’s fifth round draw following their home 4-2 win over Whitburn Juniors.
And Whitburn is where Dunbar United travel to this Saturday in a testing South League fixture with United’s fine recent unbeaten run at stake, but they were inactive last Saturday as Harthill was unplayable.
Haddington Athletic’s 10th South League clash of the season saw them win 2-1 at West Calder. This weekend they visit Edinburgh United.
Keen for a game are Tranent Juniors who had no fixture last Saturday. They resume their South League campaign this week with a visit from new second top of the South League Falkirk.
