Musselburgh Racecourse backroom staff have taken centre stage again at the racing industry’s groundstaff awards.

Head groundsman Mark Bemrose and his team have been named winners in the 2012 Racecourse Groundstaff Awards for the second successive year. Musselburgh collected the Dual Purpose award, for Flat and National Hunt tracks, in the awards run by The Racecourse Association (RCA), in conjunction with Pitchcare, ALS and Watt Fences.

The judging panel commended the expertise, knowledge and dedication of all racecourse groundstaff teams in the light of challenging weather conditions during 2012.
