Ross Matheson (LAC) retained his U- 20s title at the Scottish Athletics East District cross country championships on Saturday and hill running specialist Murray Strain (HBT) was the convincing winner of the senior men’s title.

East Lothian had representatives in various events. In the U-13 girls’ Linda McCandlish (DRC) finished 26th in 16m 19s. In the U-15 girls’ event Bethan McGregor (EAC) finished fifth in 16m 20s and helped her club take the team award.

Both Rachel Watson (EAC) and her older sister Katie (EAC) finished 10th in their respective U-15 and U-20 age group races. Rouridh Miller (EAC) was 12th in the U-20 men’s race in 29m 27s and Callum Clark (LAC) 20th in the U-17 boys race in 24m 54s.
