Disappointment for Ross in snooker final
In the final of the Scottish Under 16 National Snooker Championship final (sponsored by JMConservatories.co.uk) Scott Donaldson of Perth beath Ross Muir of Musselburgh 5-1.
Sixteen-year-old Donaldson (Perth) proved just too strong for 14-year-old Muir at the Q-Club in Glasgow. Donaldson rattled off the first four frames of the match before Muir pulled one back.
However, Donaldson won the next to secure the title.
The victory ensured that Donaldson will finish No. 1 in the under 16 rankings at the end of the season.
Terrific
John McGovern, the UPVC Windows, doors and conservatory specialist from Penicuik, said: "Ross is still young and has definitely the makings of great player.
"Congratulations to young Scott who has had a terrific year and deserves his victory."
Frame scores (Donaldson first); 67-24; 72-23; 86-10; 82(54)-44; 26-69; 64-46.
