PL bid for Murrayfield glory

The Preston Lodge 1st XV squad continued their preparations for the SHE Bowl final against Dalziel RFC at Murrayfield on Saturday May 3 (kick-off 12.15pm) with a hi-intensity and hi-impact training session last weekend.
After some difficult decisions, coach Gareth Davies named the full 22 man squad with two reserves prior to the session and all players were passed fit and ready to play by physio Sian Brotherston.

To ensure perfect preparation for the match, the t
eam will leave Prestonpans early on Saturday morning and head for an hotel in the Murrayfield area, where they will be treated to a light brunch followed by their initial team talk away from the excitement of the ground.

From there, they will proceed to the national stadium in plenty time for warm up and final instructions from the coaching team.

Hotline

The club has taken 500 tickets for the match and four supporters buses will be leaving the Pennypit Centre at 10.15am.

Spaces on the buses must be pre-booked by calling the ticket hotline (01875 818012).

Match tickets are also available by calling the same number.

Disco

The club will be open in the morning from 9am and there will be bacon rolls available before the buses leave.

After the match the club will be open there will be a disco and food available.

There is a supporters' dress code for the final - black, white and maroon only!

The Preston Lodge RFC 1st XV squad is as follows — full back, Greg Kinross; right wing, Ali Wood; centre, Andrew Clark; centre, Chris Dixon; left wing, Dougie Thompson; stand off, Graeme Patterson; scrum half, Niall Macdonald; loose head prop, Stuart Mclean; hooker, Calum Wilson; tight head prop, Cameron Mclean; second row, Paul Voy; second row, Blair Cowan; wing forward, David Scott; wing forward, John Morrison; No 8, Euan Thayne. Reserves: front row, James Russell; hooker; Ross Anderson; back row; Alan Blair; scrum half, Forbes Connor; utility back, Stephen Dixon; utility back, Fraser Harris; utility back, Jonathan Brash. Squad reserves: Mark Coull, Mark Morgan.
