New badminton club to open in Tranent

The new Tranent Community Badminton Club will start up on Thursday January 14 at Ross High School from 5-7pm for schoolchildren and adults. All standards welcome.
East Lothian Badminton Development Officer Christine Black, in partnership with Active Schools Primary Co-ordinator for Tranent cluster Lesley Nicholson and Sport and Physical Activity Coordinator for Ross High Mark Urwin, are all very enthusiastic to get this community club up and running.

Christine is delighted to announce that Craig Lamb, one of the top Scottish tournament players, has confirmed his position as club coach.

The club will be split into two sessions — 5-6pm for Primary 5-7 while from 6-7pm will be for secondary pupils and adults. Cost will be £2 per session.

If you want to improve your badminton skills,and have fun, just go along and join the club.
