Tranent groups urged to seek funding

Time is running out for Tranent community groups hoping to win a share of the Coalfields Regeneration Trust’s Community Futures £25,000 participatory budget.

They have until January 14 to submit their projects and be considered for a share of the funding.

The Coalfields Regeneration Trust has selected Tranent and Elphinstone as one of five former mining areas to take part in the latest round of its Coalfields Community Futures programme.

The programme helps local people draw up and implement a five-year action plan, with a £25,000 budget from the Trust to get top priority projects off the ground.
