Firefighters tackle scrapyard blaze

Firefighters tackled a blaze involving about 150 scrapped cars at a salvage yard.

Seven pumps and specialist equipment were used at Campbells Auto Salvage Yard, near Bathgate, West Lothian.

Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue said the fire was confined to the rear of the yard and involved around 150 cars.

The emergency service was called to the site at Colinshiel View at about 2am and the operation was scaled down around 8am on Saturday.
