Restored war memorial at Inveresk to be rededicated

Sixty men from Wallyford, Smeaton and district who lost their lives in the Great War will be remembered in special events this summer.

A rededication ceremony is being held at 2pm on August 4 to mark restoration of the Crookston War Memorial at Inveresk Cemetery in Musselburgh. A commemoration service will also be held at St Clement’s Church, Wallyford, at 10am on August 10. Wallyford Community Council received funding from the War Memorials Trust and East Lothian Council to carry out the restoration works.
