Disgruntled Ormiston residents are preparing to take direct action to improve the standard of facilities in their local park.

A public meeting is to be held in the village next week to seek views on what the park should contain and to try and identify sources of funding.

The move comes after East Lothian Council said it had no money to meet local aspirations for a major overhaul of the park and the provision of facilities to match other public parks in the county.
