A monument which pays tribute to Ormiston’s most famous son – missionary Robert Moffat – has been given a bright new look.

The work has been carried out thanks to East Lothian Council’s Civic Pride Fund.

Born in 1795, Moffat joined the London Missionary Society and spent more than 50 years in South Africa, working alongside his wife, Mary.
