Works starts on new council housing in Dunbar

Work has started on the construction of 16 new council flats for rent at Kellie Road in Dunbar – at a total cost of £1.8 million.

Councillor Norman Hampshire and depute chief executive Monica Patterson met Hart Builders’ managing director David Small and head of business development, Gill Henry, to cut the first turf last Thursday.

The company has started building the new flats which will be bought by East Lothian Council on completion and they will be available in mid 2015.
