Work on North Berwick harbour wall is a ‘priority’

The need to secure the sea wall at North Berwick Harbour was identified as a priority at a recent public meeting held in the town.

More than 60 local people attended the meeting, called by North Berwick Harbour Trust Association, which has been managing the harbour area, on behalf of East Lothian Council, since 2006.

The association is currently working towards full trust status and the appointment of trustees.

NBHTA chairman Gerry Hughes said: “It was a fantastic turn out and just shows the amount of interest in the harbour and its future.”
