A Musselburgh woman who attacked a woman near to the town’s Brunton Hall has received a fine.
Gemma McCafferty, 21, chased after the woman before knocking her to the ground and punching her repeatedly to the head and body.
McCafferty, Flat C, 225 North High Street, had previously pleaded her guilt to the assault charge and had her sentence deferred for her to be of good behaviour.
Haddington Sheriff Court was told McCafferty had now managed to find full-time employment and was currently working as manageress at a local petrol station.
