Making “obscene” telephone calls to a couple has landed a Wallyford man in court.
Ryan Sheridan sent the messages to Michelle Tough and Lee Neilands on 27 April this year.
Sheridan, 1 St Clement’s Terrace, Wallyford, appeared from custody at Haddington Sheriff Court on 30 April and admitted his guilt to the charge under certain deletions.
Roofer Sheridan, 27, appeared back at the county court on Wednesday for sentencing. The court heard the relationship between Sheridan and Ms Tough had ended and that he had not committed any further offending since the incident.
Sheridan admitted to making telephone calls to Ms Tough and Mr Neilands that were grossly offensive or indecent, obscene or menacing in character in that he threatened violence to others on 30 April at his home address.
Sheriff Peter Braid decided to fine Sheridan £170 “due to the nature of the offence”.
