Wallyford is ‘hotspot’ for youth disorder

Teenagers could find themselves being threatened with ASBOs in a bid to curb “disruptive and intimidating” behaviour in Wallyford.

The village has been identified as a continuing “hotspot” for antisocial behaviour, involving youths from Musselburgh and Wallyford.

Police officers in the Musselburgh area have now joined forces with East Lothian Council in an attempt to clampdown on the problem.

In a report to Musselburgh and Inveresk Community Council, PC Jeff Low said youth disorder in Wallyford had become a regular occurrence over the past two months – not just at weekends.
