Visit strengthens bond between Dunbar and Narni

Plans for a formal twinning link between Dunbar and the Italian town of Narni have taken a step nearer reality following a recent visit.

Alison Tossell, a Dunbar resident, and Alberto Massimo, a member of Dunbar Community Council, travelled to Italy at the invitation of Narni’s Mayor Dr Francesco de Rebotti.

Their trip was to mark the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Narni in 1944 by troops from the 2nd Lothian & Borders Horse Yeomanry who were based in Dunbar at the time.
