A Macmerry man has been banned from a third East Lothian village after a court extended his ASBO.
Mark Robertson of Brierbush Road, Macmerry, formerly resident in Tranent, had already been banned from entering Ormiston and Elphinstone and the hamlet of Ormiston Hall.
Following an application by East Lothian Council, Haddington Sheriff Court has now extended the order to cover Pencaitland.
The court was presented with details of the alleged antisocial behaviour by Robertson, which had led to a number of police charges.
A spokesman for East lothian Council said Robertson’s antisocial behaviour had caused alarm and distress to local residents.
“Due to Mr Robertson’s continued antisocial behaviour in and around Pencaitland the council sought a variation to the terms of the original ASBO to include this village,” she added.
