A Tranent woman’s much-loved rescue dog has left a unique legacy which is helping to bring comfort to less-fortunate canines.
Lesley Winton has set up Holly’s Hugs in memory of her black labrador, a rescue dog who died in May, having been her constant companion for five years.
The animal-loving former charity worker is now dedicated to raising funds for elderly and special needs dogs and for dogs in warzones and those working with UK Armed Forces.
Holly’s Hugs is also raising awareness of the impact of pet bereavement and promoting the human-canine bond.
