Police are appealing for witnesses following a spate of thefts from vehicles in Haddington.
The eight incidents took place between Sunday evening (December 15) and Monday morning (December 16).
On Lennox Road, a Vauxhall Astra and a Peugeot van were broken into and car keys, a Bosch angle grinder and four-inch cutting blade were stolen. The thefts took place between 2.30pm and 7.30am.
A Ford Transit van parked in Bridge Street was also broken into, although nothing was taken. This happened between 8pm and 7.15am.
In Acredales, a Tom Tom was stolen from a blue Volkswagen Estate between 5pm and 8.15am.
On Gifford Gate, a Skoda Superb and a Hyundai were entered between 8pm and 8am and cash, Leica Trikovid binoculars 10x42BA and sunglasses were stolen.
On St Martins Court, golf clubs, two Mikita power drills, an orange Paslode nail gun, a green Ryobi drill and a black and orange Revolution circular saw were stolen from a white Ford Transit van between 6pm and 7.15am.
The final incident took place at Burnside, where a vehicle was entered, but no items were stolen.
Constable Alan Halliday from Police Scotland said: “Enquiries are ongoing into these brazen crimes.
“Those responsible for these thefts may try and sell these items on and so anyone who comes across individuals attempting to do so is asked to contact police immediately
“Anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity in these streets between Sunday evening and Monday morning, or who has information that can assist with our enquiries is also asked to come forward.
“Vehicle owners are reminded to ensure their vehicles are secured when unattended and to leave nothing on display.”
