The speaker at this year’s St Baldred’s Lecture in North Berwick is Professor Jonathan Chick.
The event will take place at St Baldred’s Church at 6.30pm on Sunday, October 27.
The lectures began during the celebrations of St Baldred’s 1,400 anniversary in 2008 and are aimed at remembering the saint who had close connections with nature, both inland and on the Bass Rock in the Firth of Forth.
Entry to the lecture is free but there will be a collection for the charity Simpson House, CrossReach which works with people with drug and alcohol addictions.
Professor Chick will speak on ‘Did St Baldred make mead - 4,000 years of questions about alcohol.’
