Teenager injured in road crash is named

Police Scotland officers in East Lothian are making a fresh appeal for information after a man was seriously injured in a road collision yesterday morning, June 5.

Teenager Robbie Thomson, who lives in Prestonpans, was seriously injured following an incident involving a coach and two cars in Longniddry. The 18-year-old was transferred to Western General Hospital and remains in a stable but critical condition.

The collision happened on the A198 at the junction with Dean Road at around 7.50am and investigating officers are urging witnesses to come forward.

Sergeant Neil Inglis of the road policing department said: “The collision in Longniddry left a man seriously injured and we are keen to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

“Anyone who witnessed the collision or who has any information that might assist the investigation is asked to can contact Police Scotland on 101.”
