An East Lothian teacher has asked to be struck off the teaching register following her admission of incompetence in the classroom.
Jan Holden, who has taught for five years at Dirleton Primary School, told the General Teaching Council for Scotland that she wished to be excused from taking classes and waived her right to a full hearing.
Following an investigation by the GTCS’s Fitness to Teach Panel, Ms Holden has been advised that she has been removed from the teaching register.
