School merger for Prestonpans?

Education bosses could be asked to merge Prestonpans Infant School with the primary school as they look to make savings across the county.

The proposal is among the options being considered by infant school parents as an alternative to axing a key teaching post.

Iain Scott, chairman of the infant school’s parent council, believes the move would save money for the local authority, by sharing resources, while at the same reducing stress on pupils.
