East Lothian has achieved the highest satisfaction ratings of any council in Scotland, according to the latest Scottish Household Survey.
The council came out tops for: good at communicating services; high quality services; and good at communicating performance.
The council was also well above the Scottish average and got the second highest satisfaction ratings for: services designed for needs; does its best with the money available; and addressing key issues.
Almost one in four people (24.1 per cent) feel they can influence decisions that affect their local area compared with Scottish average of 21.5 per cent
