Local residents have been left feeling “shocked and depressed” after a decision to allow a plan for up to 90 new houses on farmland at Dunbar.
Scottish Government Reporter Dan Jackman has issued a Notice of Intention to grant planning permission in principle for the development near Beveridge Row subject to conditions.
Hallam Land Management Limited had appealed against the failure of East Lothian Council to issue a decision within the prescribed period.
Objector Sandy Rosie said: “Virtually all in the communities of Belhaven and West Barns, and many others in Dunbar, expressed strong views that this development was neither needed nor appropriate.”
