Detectives investigating the suspicious death of a Haddington man say there have been “developments” in the 10-month probe.
Father-of-four Brian Bathgate was found with stab wounds at his Barney Mains Farm cottage, on the outskirts of Haddington, last year.

Forensic experts have been trying to determine if the wounds were self-inflicted, an accident or murder.
A detective has confirmed that there have been “developments” in the case, although the force’s official line is that enquiries are ongoing.
