Police are attempting to trace thieves who raided unoccupied homes in Longniddry, Gullane and North Berwick last week.
An appeal has been made for witnesses to the incidents, all of which took place between Thursday lunchtime and Friday evening, leaving the homeowners concerned “very distressed.”
A quantity of jewellery and a sum of money were stolen during the first break in at a house in Douglas Road, Longniddry, between 10pm on September 19 and 8am the following day.
Between 1pm on the Thursday and 11am on the Friday, a property in High Street, North Berwick, was broken into. While little of value was taken, every room was disturbed.
More jewellery was stolen during the third incident at a property in Whim Road, Gullane, which was unoccupied between 1.30pm on Thursday and 6.30pm on Friday.
