Police Scotland officers in East Lothian are appealing for information following a housebreaking and theft at a property in Tranent.
Enquiries are ongoing after a house in Young Avenue was broken into sometime between 8pm on Wednesday 23rd July and 10am on Thursday 24th July.
The person or persons responsible damaged property in the home before making off with a four-figure sum of money and a watch.
Detective Constable Steven Fisher said: “Housebreakings are always very stressful episodes for the victims, especially when valuable items have been stolen from their house, and we are eager to identify the culprits.
“Anyone who saw anything suspicious in Young Avenue last Wednesday evening or Thursday morning or who has any information which may help our investigation is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or, alternatively, phone the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
