Planners under fire over Cockenzie Energy Park proposal

Public information provided by Scottish Enterprise on its proposed energy park at Cockenzie is an insult to the community, say objectors.

Planning consultants for the project faced hostile questioning from around 30 local residents at a meeting of Cockenzie and Port Seton Community Council on Tuesday night.

Some of those who attended had been turned away from a public meeting organised by concerned residents in Prestonpans the same evening, which was full to capacity.
