Blocked roads and snarled junctions are creating difficulties for public transport, businesses and local people.
There are suggestions that the problem is being exacerbated by the absence of the county’s two traffic wardens, who were removed by Police Scotland in a funding purge.
While East Lothian Council officials consider options to formalise the reintroduction of traffic wardens, local police have pledged to clamp down on trouble spots.
