Duke of Edinburgh Awards presented at Holyrood Palace

Karen Munro, Scott Robertson and Neil Wyllie from Preston Lodge High School and Andrew Munro from Musselburgh Grammar were invited to Holyrood Palace recently to be presented with Duke of Edinburgh Gold Awards.

All achieved the awards through their respective school groups and received their certificates in the presence of the DofE’s patron and founder, the Duke of Edinburgh.

Provost Ludovic Broun-Lindsay said: “Throughout their DofE, individuals have developed a range of skills, gained self-confidence and benefitted greatly from being part of a team.

Local communities in East Lothian have also benefitted from the volunteering activities and some of the young people are keen to continue with this work.”
