Anxious Ormiston residents have started a campaign to improve play facilities in their public park.
The move has been sparked by last week’s sudden removal of items of children’s play equipment.
Although some other equipment is being repaired, locals have been told that removed apparatus fails to meet current health and safety regulations.
While residents have been told that East Lothian Council has no funding to replace the equipment, the local authority has confirmed that it is discussing “an overhaul” of the park.
