Public safety warnings have been issued after the North Berwick lifeboat was called out twice to emergencies over the weekend.
Five people were cut off by the tide during the annual North Berwick raft race on Saturday and the next day the crew was alerted to a missing kayaker.
Matthew Gibbons, a spokesman for the lifeboat crew, said: “We would like to remind members of the public to check the tide times before setting out along the coast.”
