A plan for 18 affordable flats on the site of a counselling centre at Dunbar has been given the thumbs-up by councillors amidst a row over access.
East Lothian Housing Association got the go-ahead for the development in the grounds of the St Andrews Centre, run by Crossreach Counselling, at a meeting of East Lothian Council’s planning committee on Tuesday.
But the proposal attracted opposition from the trustees of Dunbar Parish Church of Scotland because they hadn’t given consent to widen the access road.
Minister Rev Gordon Stevenson said they were in favour of affordable homes being created on this site in Bayswell Road.
