Necklace stolen in Musselburgh

Police are appealing for witnesses following a housebreaking in Musselburgh.

The incident happened around 7.45pm yesterday (Monday) at an address in The Grove.

The owners of the property returned and disturbed a male, who was inside.

He then ran out of the house and was lost to sight.

A silver necklace worth around £100 was taken during the break-in and police are asking anyone with information that can assist with their enquiries to come forward.

Inspector Andy Harborow said: “This incident is being progressed by officers working under Operation RAC, who are keen to hear from anyone who remembers seeing anything suspicious in The Grove or surrounding area on Monday evening.

“Similarly, anyone with any more information relevant to this enquiry or who can help us identify the male responsible is asked to contact police immediately.”
