A soldier who operated in the Special Forces has asked for a closed court when he appears to answer charges of storing live ammunition at his home.
Paul Pattie is accused of possessing quantities of live, drill and marker rounds at a residential property in Musselburgh on November 29 last year, without holding a firearm certificate.
Mr Pattie, who gave his address as Dreghorn Barracks, (36) denied the charges when he appeared at Haddington Sheriff Court last Thursday.
He is now considering representing himself after his solicitor withdrew from acting on his behalf earlier in the week.
