Children from Pinkie St Peter’s Primary School achieved a silver gilt award for their entry to the pallet garden challenge at this year’s Gardening Scotland exhibition, seen by more than 35,000 visitors to Ingliston over the weekend.

Working with volunteer Heather Paul, the P2 pupils created a display called “Grandpa’s Garden”, based on a book they have been reading in class.

They were delighted to see their display featured on the BBC’s Beechgrove Garden when its presenters visited the exhibition.
