The Great War and its impact on Musselburgh will be the subject of a major exhibition being launched in the town later this year.

As it prepares for the event in August, Musselburgh Museum is appealing to the community to play its part in commemorating the 100th anniversary of World War One.

Co-ordinator Simon Fairnie said: “The exhibition and the other activities being undertaken – with generous support from the Heritage Lottery – will offer a unique and one off chance to remember those of the town and district who fought, were killed or survived the conflict, as well as those who were left behind and served on the Home Front.”
