A Torness power station engineer was “very lucky” not to have killed two pals when he flipped his car during a late night drive.
Kyle McCartney (23) was taking his friends home from a nightclub when he lost control of the car on a secluded country road.
One passenger was knocked unconscious during the crash as the motor overturned a number of times.
McCartney – who scooped the Apprentice of the Year for Nuclear Generation last year – was told by a sheriff that he was fortunate there had been no fatalities.
