A Dunbar teenager’s strong commitment to the local lifeboat service has earned him a top national volunteering award.
Matthew Barnott (15) has clocked up more than 100 hours of working in the charity’s souvenir shop which is situated in the High Street.
He has received a Saltire Award for his sterling fund-raising efforts on behalf of the lifeboat service.
Matthew, a pupil at Dunbar Grammar School, said: “I really enjoy my time at the Royal National Lifeboat Institution shop - it has been an interesting experience.”
