A 23-year-old man is due to appear in court today (Monday) after police raided a flat in Musselburgh on Sunday.
Armed police sealed off part of the High Street, near Kilwinning, after reports of an alleged disturbance in the property.
Residents in the town reported seeing a helicopter overhead as officers with dogs arrived at the scene.
A police spokesman said: “Police Scotland responded to an incident in Musselburgh after a report of a disturbance at a property on the High Street at 10.30am. The area was cordoned off as a precaution while officers gained entry.
“A 23-year-old man was arrested and charged with breach of the peace and he will appear in court today.”
