People in East Lothian are being encouraged to take part in a poignant and symbolic initiative to commemorate the centenary of the First World War.
Veterans’ charity Poppyscotland is calling on local households to join the rest of the UK in taking part in Lights Out to honour the heroes of the 1914-18 conflict.
Communities across the country are being invited to switch off their lights between 10-11pm on Monday, August 4, the date Britain entered the war 100 years ago, and illuminate their homes with a single candle or light.
Lights Out is being delivered in Scotland by Poppyscotland and, in the rest of the UK, by its parent charity, the Royal British Legion.
Will you be taking part in Lights Out? Let us know why you are getting involved.
