Have your say

Controversial plans to build houses, flats and business units at a site in Haddington are to be discussed by councillors on Tuesday.

East Lothian Council’s planning committee is to hold a pre-determination hearing on proposals by Persimmon Homes East Scotland and In-Site Property Solutions to develop land west of Gateside Road.

Haddington and District Community Council believes that already overstretched infrastructure will not be able to cope with up to 60 new houses, mostly two-storey, on a site bounded by the Haddington to Longniddry railway path, Gateside Road and the B6471.
