Inspectors note progress at Musselburgh school

Lessons appear to have been learned at Loretto RC Primary School in Musselburgh after its curriculum was assessed as “weak” during a visit by HM Inspectors two years ago.

A recent follow-through visit by the inspectors found improvements had been made in a number of key areas in the school and nursery, such as teamwork and leadership and partnership working with parents.

But a subsequent report by Inspector Alasdair Eadie said curriculum development continued to lack pace and should be a “main priority for action.”
